The full version of Descent was released to great sales and critical acclaim. It garnered numerous awards, including the PC Magazine Award for Technical Excellence, and PC Gamer’s Editors’ Choice (having earned a 96% rating, the second-highest rated ever awarded by PC Gamer). Descent quickly became the most popular multiplayer game on the internet.
