SENIOR AUDIO DESIGNER

Volition, the THQ studio that developed the Saints Row and Red Faction franchises, is seeking a senior audio designer. Work alongside a team of lovable audio geeks as we smash, splat, and zing our way through thousands of sound effects for our games. • Sound design and implementation
• Plan, prioritize, and schedule audio work
• Design audio systems and pipelines
• Manage external audio vendors
• Assist at VO recording sessions
• Audio research and development

• Experience with Wwise
• Expert at industry standard DAWs
• Strong technical audio theory background
• Highly organized and detail-oriented
• Microphone and recording technique
• Minimum of two AAA titles shipped as audio designer
• Proven ability to design and implement innovative audio systems
• Expertise in stereo and surround mixing techniques
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Able to deliver results under tight deadlines
• Experience developing for Xbox 360 and PS3

Pluses

• Background in music composition
• Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g. Lua, Python, etc)
• Background in studio recording
• Experience in conflict resolution

Sample Work Required

• Sample work must include sound effects synced to video
• If video includes music, please include a version with only sound effects
• FTP space to upload demo materials is available upon request
