Jon Schmidt

Jon Schmidt was born in Solon, Ohio, where he was raised on comic books and cartoons. His natural love for videogames was apparent from the first moment he held a joystick at the age of three. His trek towards achieving a career in the world of art brought him to the Computer Art Program at Bowling Green State University, where he graduated in 2003 with a degree in The Digital Arts. That very next July, Jon scored an interview with Friendly Software, a golf game developer merely fifteen minutes from his alma mater. Jon worked at Friendly for just shy of two years, asked for his beautiful wife Sara’s hand in marriage, purchased a bunny rabbit, bought a new car, and moved off to Champaign, Illinois to join the fine people at Volition as an Environmental Artist. Jon loves his new job blowing stuff up. Jon and Sara are very happy here, and look forward to a long, happy life in their new home state.
